Michael Latousek
Raised in the northern suburbs of Chicago (Glenview), Michael has a large family that began visiting Aspen in the early ’70’s, where they enjoyed world-class skiing in the winters and fly-fishing, hiking, and mountain biking in the summers. Michael’s family bought a property at the base of Smuggler Mountain in Aspen back in 1974 and then eventually in Starwood. After graduating from Loyola Academy in Wilmette, Illinois, Michael went on to Spring Hill College (Mobile, AL), graduating in 1990. He then moved to Aspen, where he began working at Pinons restaurant and teaching skiing at Buttermilk.
In 1999, Michael began his career in real estate with the Aspen Real Estate Company and sold for the same agent who brokered the deal for his parents’ property back in 1974. In 2008, Michael was invited to join Joshua & Co. (now Douglas Elliman) and has been selling real estate in the upper Roaring Fork Valley full-time for more than 20 years.
His passion for meeting new people and sharing the valley’s hidden gems drives him to give his best every day. He continues to pursue a successful career that has brought numerous satisfied clients into Michael’s portfolio. Michael lives just downstream in Basalt with his wife, Denise, and their two girls, Lauren (13) and Taylor (11).
